UTA Founder’s Day to celebrate 124 years of UTA

UTA Founder’s Day will be hosted at the Central Library mall from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

The event is to celebrate the founding and history of the university, said Januari Baker, UTA Ambassadors program coordinator. The university will celebrate 124 years of UTA.

Free cupcakes and punch will be provided for attendees, Baker said.

President Vistasp Karbhari, student body President Gavin Mitchell and Lisa Nagy, vice president for Student Affairs, will speak at the event, she said. UTA spirit groups will also perform.
