Police arrested a male student in connection with assault by strangulation, according to UTA Police crime log.

Officers were dispatched Tuesday night to Arbor Oaks Apartments when they received a 911 call, according to the report.

After investigation, male student Julian Michael Schneider, 21, was arrested for assault on a family/household member by impeding breath/circulation, said Mike McCord, UTA Police acting assistant chief.

The assault occurred as a result of an argument with the 20-year-old female victim, a non-student whom he was involved with in a former relationship, McCord said.

Schneider was taken to Arlington Police Department jail without incident, according to an official police crime report.
