Parent and Family Weekend starts Friday and runs through Sunday.
The weekendlong tradition is a chance for students and their families to see what life is like on campus for the UTA community, according to the UTA website.
With over 690 people already signed up and walk-in arrivals expected the day of, the total number of attendance is expected to go over 700, said Casey Gonzales, Parent and Family Center director.
The festivities will begin Friday at 5:30 p.m. with registered tours of AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Park, according to the Parent and Family Weekend schedule.
Gonzales said Saturday will begin with a large breakfast and end with the President’s Tailgate at Brazos Park before the women’s volleyball game.
A goodbye brunch along with planetarium shows will wrap up the events on Sunday.
The middle of the semester, around midterms, is the perfect time to have Parent and Family Weekend, Gonzales said.
When students living away from home see their family, it rejuvenates them, he said.
