Student Ambassadors held its "Sundaes on Friday" event from noon to 1 p.m. on the University Center mall.
The event was part of Ambassador Week, which occurs once every Spring semester.
Fridays' event is a way to celebrate Ambassador Week and simply spread UTA spirit and pride, said nursing senior and Ms. UTA Ify Okonkwo.
Okonkwo said the group handed out more than 120 bowls and cups of ice cream, but expended more than 200 guests by the end of the hour.
The event is a great way to advertise UTA Ambassadors’ cause, said electric engineering graduate student Suraj Rao.
Rao heard about the event on Facebook and visited the booth to have some of the free sundaes.
“We just want to brighten people’s day,” she said.
