Volleyball junior honored for second time this season

After a sweeping weekend, junior libero Madelyn St. Germain picked up her second Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.

The League City, Texas, native lifted the Mavericks over the weekend in their fifth-set wins over the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Arkansas State University.

She led the team with 60 digs overall, snagging a season-high in the team’s match against Little Rock with 35. 

St. Germain was previously honored by the Sun Belt Conference during the week of Sept. 17 for her performance in the Maverick Invitational.

St. Germain and the volleyball team return to the court Tuesday night to face off against Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
