The men’s tennis team concluded its regular-season with a 4-0 loss against No. 44 ranked Texas Tech University on Thursday at the UTA Tennis Center.

Texas Tech clinched the doubles point with 6-2 and 6-4 wins against the Mavericks.

In singles competition, senior Jhonathan Gonzalez fell to Texas Tech senior Jolan Cailleau 6-3, 6-0. Senior Mario Muniesa and sophomore Mauricio Del Rio dropped their matches to give the Red Raiders two additional points for the win.

The Mavericks will begin postseason play in the Sun Belt Championship on Friday at the City Park Tennis Courts in New Orleans.
