It's troubling when the leader of our university decides to shut down all philanthropic and social activities of Greek life. Fraternities and sororities have raised tens of thousands of dollars this semester alone.

Apparently the message Dr. Karbhari wants to send as a leader is that if you can't figure out a problem, then shut it down first and form a task force to deal with it.

I hope our future leaders at UTA learn from this lesson and deal with an issue head-on instead of pushing it over to a task force or trying to use a broad sword that punishes groups en masse.
