The Multicultural Affairs Office is gaining a new assistant director.
Kasey Catlett III begins July 31, according to a student affairs announcement.
Catlett will be the primary adviser to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning and Ally Program and will oversee the Maversity Program.
The LGBTQA Program aims to provide an open atmosphere for UTA’s LGBTQA community.
The Maversity program provides students with an open forum to speak on issues such as gender, race and stereotypes.
Catlett is coming to UTA from the University of Oklahoma.
