The Maverick Cookout and Activity Fair Day will showcase about 240 organizations from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the University Center mall.
Stretching the length of the mall, the event will feature student involvement opportunities and the new venue, Brazos Park, with live music and food, said John Hillas, Student Organizations assistant director.
“It’s the only time that many different organizations come together in one place, there is no other event or occurrence on campus where you’re going to see that large of a portion of our student organizations come together,” Hillas said.
As a Maverick Stampede event, it allows students to learn about campus organizations and also services and resources within the community, he said.
“We hope that every student will find their place,” Hillas said.
