Assault - Physical Contact - Family Violence
A male student reported an alleged assault at about 1:30 p.m. Monday at the 800 block of West Greek Row Drive, according to the UTA Crime Log.
UTA Police Capt. Mike McCord said the victim got into an argument with his roommate, another male student, which led to the alleged assault. The roommate was arrested and transported to the Arlington Police Department Jail without incident.
The victim did not report any injuries, McCord said.
Assault through physical contact under family violence is a third degree felony, according to the Texas Penal Code. It is punishable by imprisonment for a term no less than two years but not to exceed 10, a fine not to exceed $10,000 or both.
