Late Night Shopping at Target to give students a chance to deck out their dorms

Information systems senior Meaghan Harraghy prepares to high five Blaze during Late Night Shopping at Target on Aug. 20, 2016. "I love just coming in seeing all the new students shopping for their stuff they forgot for their dorm,” Harraghy said.

Late Night Shopping at Target will offer students an exclusive shopping experience from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Monday.

Hosted by UTA Ambassadors, the event has been part of Maverick Stampede since 2013. There will be music, giveaways, over $1,000 in door prizes and vendors.

“Since this event happens the same day as [Move-in day] students have the opportunity to see what they need and then stock up at Target,” UTA Ambassador adviser Samantha Sorensen said.

Shuttles will be available in front of College Park Center at Moritz Plaza and in front of the Maverick Activities Center to transport students to and from the event in 15 minute intervals. The first shuttle departs to Target at 10:15 p.m. and the last shuttle departs from Target at 1:20 a.m.
