UTA community members evacuated the University Center at about 10 a.m. Thursday after a balloon set off the alarms.

Details regarding how the balloon did it weren't available immediately after the alarms sounded, said Rick Gomez, interim UTA police chief.

People bringing balloons indoors should keep them from leaving their person, he said.
