EXCEL Campus Activities will kick off its annual Summer Movie Series Thursday at 9 p.m. with a showing of Captain Marvel on the west lawn behind the Maverick Activities Center.

The free event series is open to students as well as the general public, said Noel Watts, Student Activities student development specialist. Free popcorn and concessions will also be available for attendees.

This summer’s movie series will include Us, Shazam!, The Curse of La Llorona, John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum and Detective Pikachu.

The films are chosen in terms of popularity by the previous semester’s EXCEL executive board, Watts said.

According to the event poster, screenings will be held inside the MAC in case of rain.
