The School of Nursing along with other North Texas schools and hospitals, will produce learning and teaching modules designed to enhance a nursing graduate students’ knowledge of what to expect on the job. The modules have been in the works for the last three years and are divided between 10 other nursing programs throughout the state, nursing dean Elizabeth Poster said. Each program is responsible for a different subject. “The development of educational materials by nursing faculty and hospital nursing staff working together is a model for the future to ensure that students develop their ‘clinical thinking’ skills,” she said in a press release. The video modules are completed by the school spearheading that subject and include input from local professionals in area clinics and hospitals. Partnering hospitals include: Arlington Memorial, Children’s Medical Center of Dallas, Fort Worth Harris Methodist, and Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. The modules can be bought on DVD for $10 from Tricia Scott at www.HCAhealthcare.com. Views: 937 | E-mail
