Texas AG Greg Abbott announced he'll explore governorship in one-on-one with Movin' Mavs

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said depending on what Gov. Rick Perry’s plans are for re-election in 2014, he might explore campaigning to be the next Texas governor.

Abbott made the statement in a meeting that was closed to the public while speaking to the Movin’ Mavs, Dallas Mavericks wheelchair basketball team and the Army wheelchair basketball team on Thursday in the P.E. Building as apart of the Army wheelchair Warrior Games training week at UTA.

Swiss recruit Janic Binda optimistic about playing for Movin’ Mavs

The Movin’ Mavs will add one more international player to the roster for a team that already has four on the squad.

Janic Binda, who is coming over from Switzerland, will join two other incoming recruits for the Movin’ Mavs 2012 season. Binda has been playing for the Swiss national team since 2006 and has played in two European Championships with the team.

Ricardo Lucien and Janic Binda have not been accepted to UTA yet, but head coach Doug Garner is confident they will be accepted. Logan Shaw has signed his letter of intent and will be at UTA in the fall.

Champaign – Urbana, IL – The Movin’ Mavs may never fully recover from Friday’s loss but they recovered enough to beat Alabama 62-58 to finish in third place in the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair basketball tournament in George Huff Hall Saturday morning.

No.4 seed Illinois beat the Movin’ Mavs in the national semifinals that prevented them from playing for their eighth national championship.
