This winter break is going to be a little different. In the last year, Texas Gov. Rick Perry has requested several budget cuts from state agencies to make up for an estimated $20 billion budget shortfall. During the break, the Texas Legislature will begin meeting and discussing ways to reduce spending.

Slow and steady wins the race

The final drop day was a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn’t have been happier. I can now park much closer to the school, and I don’t have to drive around for 15 minutes trying to find a spot.
