After seeing the Twin Towers in New York City diminished to nothing but rubble 10 years ago, many didn’t question whether two planes could topple the tallest buildings in the world.
After seeing the velocity and motion at which Building 7 of the World Trade Center came down later that day, some experts did question whether burning debris could flatten a building in seconds.
Now, groups like Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and North Texans for 9/11 Truth are wondering if the destruction of the Twin Towers and Building 7 were planned.
However, if there is one thing David Berrera wants people to know, it’s that the members of North Texans for 9/11 Truth are not conspiracy theorists.
“What we’re more into is looking at the facts and taking those facts where they lead us,” Berrera, a member of North Texans for 9/11 Truth, said. “What we’re looking at is more of a forensic style of investigation.”
The investigation Berrera is talking about is of the Twin Towers and Building 7, also known as WTC 7, and how they were destroyed.
A new documentary titled 9/11: Explosive Evidence – Experts Speak Out, presented by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, will be showing at the UAW 848 Union Hall in Grand Prairie on Sept. 11, 2011.
The documentary presents unanswered questions posed by architects, engineers and scientists about what exactly caused the three buildings to collapse as they did.
“We tend to believe that we’re not being told the truth based on the laws of physics,” Berrera, who helped organize the event in Grand Prairie, said. “Building 7 came down in seven seconds when it didn’t get hit by a plane.”
The event is free to the public and will include free DVDs of the documentary and a question-and-answer session with experts in engineering and architecture.
Bryan Black, another organizer of the event, said the only explanation for the way the buildings collapsed was controlled demolition.
“I’ve actually witnessed controlled demolition before, so to me, it was just a classic controlled demolition. It was perfect,” Black said of watching footage of WTC 7 fall.
As explained in the trailer for the documentary, government reports say that WTC 7 collapsed due to debris from the Twin Towers causing uncontrollable fires, resulting in the frame of the building to be weakened.
Assistant engineering professor Mohammad Najafi said that fires and other factors could possibly explain the collapse.
“The heat effect might be a possibility and also the impact might have created a vibration, and that vibration might have caused the foundation of the building to shake,” Najafi said.
Black said that he hopes after watching the documentary, people will call on the government to pursue another investigation.
“We’re trying to get the people to realize the truth,” Black said. “It’s hard to say what kind of response you’re going to get from all of this, but it has to be done.”
