During Fashion Week in October, the spring trends of 2012 were shown. The trends include bird patterns to pastel colors. As much as I adore the designers, the runway looks are expensive, so I’m going to show how to stay on trend this spring with six of my favorite trends for less.
Birds: Designers are using a variety of birds for abstract and graceful patterns.
Pastels: Designers use a palette of certain colors for a theme in their collection. This season from Versace to Vuitton the designers are using pastels in their spring collection.
Peplum: This clothing item is supreme. It can be seen on jackets, dresses and blouses. This flared look is this season’s must-have.
Drop Waist: Designers are modernizing the ‘20s shapeless flapper-style dresses. This is a popular look this spring.
Matte Satin: This fabric is being used with many elegant and edgy designers to give a sleek and modern look.
Abstract: Designers are inspired by abstract art for either print designers or how their clothing is designed. The geometric abstraction was evident on the runways.
