The university will work with the Fort Worth Transportation Authority to help solve the Dallas-Fort Worth area’s air quality problems and sky-rocketing fuel prices. The Fort Worth Transportation Authority has set up a van pooling program to help the two problems. The program aims to help commuters save an estimated $8,128 per year in gas expenses, while decreasing harmful carbon emissions. The university is finalizing its participation in the program and looks to advertise it, said Jeff Johnson, Facilities Management associate director. Anybody living in the Metroplex will be able to use it, he said. The program should be operational at the beginning of the fall semester, he said. Views: 4583 | E-mail
