The opinion section acts as an open forum for students, faculty and Shorthorn staff members to voice their views on anything and everything.

This soapbox made out of paper and ink is a tool we offer our peers and patrons, and we hope it will be taken advantage of.

Whether you are a theatre arts student who is unhappy about a brutal review we gave the play you performed in, or a nursing student who wishes to thank us for giving a heads-up on tuition increases, we want to cram as much student and faculty participation onto the opinion page as possible.

We’ve got the space to do it.

Anytime you read an article that irks an angry or happy beast inside of your usually calm or angry self, write down your thoughts and send them our way.

The summer tends to be quiet across the entire university and we wouldn’t mind making a little noise.

So let us hear what you have to say.
