Trip BreakdownDay of Arrival: December 26, 2010Current Date: December 30, 2010 London Vocabulary Lesson 1:Wellington Boots (or wellies): The plastic rain boots that are worn by Londoners to keep their feet dry when it rains or snows. What they don't do is provide any protection from the bitter, bone chilling cold that accompanies the rain or snow.Being from Texas has caused me to expect things to be a bit warmer than 20 degrees on a day to day basis, but I do realize this country is going to be much colder than what I’m used to, being that it’s much farther north. So thank you for the snowy welcome, but if you could see to it that the next time I walk to the tube station I still have the full sensation in all of my fingers that would be fantastic.
