Head coach Samantha Morrow said it didn’t take long for her and the women’s basketball team to bounce back from the loss to the Houston Cougars last week, because they have business to handle on their home court Tuesday. The Mavs will wrap up their three-game home stand against the University of Missouri - Kansas City at 4 p.m. today in Texas Hall. Last week the Mavs’ toughest challenge came against Houston, as they fell 78-74 in the game. Morrow said that her team worked on fixing the execution problems exposed in the game against the Cougars. “We need to have a lot more communication on the defensive end, make better decisions at the end of halves, and fix some mistakes that we made at the end of the game,” Morrow said. This will be the first meeting between UTA and UMKC. This game will also be the last home game for the team until Southland Conference play in January. Views: 860 | E-mail
