A student reported a robbery Thursday night in the 700 block of South Pecan Street at the intersection of Third Street, according to a campus crime bulletin. The student told UTA Police that, while walking, a vehicle occupied by four African-American subjects stopped and one person exited the car's rear seat. The man asked if he could use the student's phone, and the student granted the request. The man in question spoke on the phone, punched the student, then left the scene with the student’s phone. The man in question was described as an African-American male, 5 foot 8 inches to 5 foot 10 inches, thin build, short hair, no facial hair, wearing a black hooded shirt. The vehicle was described as a 2000 to 2003 brown or tan GMC or Chevy truck, according to the bulletin. This case is still active, according to the UTA Police activity log. UPDATES TO COME
