During the first two days of sales, UTA sold more than 2,000 of the available approximately 2,600 Maroon 5 tickets as of 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. Only students, faculty and staff can buy tickets, with a maximum of four tickets per Mav Express card. Prices are $15 for current students and $30 for faculty and staff. Maggie Garza, EXCEL Campus Activities special events coordinator, said people were taken aback that the tickets sold so quickly considering the small time frame that the tickets have been available. “This is really something because the tickets went on sale on Monday, it’s only been two days,” Garza said. Since tickets are sold on utatickets.com, there is 24-hour access to them, Garza said. Hip-hop artist K’Naan, whose artistic style resembles a fuse between reggae artist Bob Marley and American rapper Eminem, will be the opening act for Maroon 5. The band will play Nov. 20 in Texas Hall. Views: 415 | E-mail
