Dave & Buster’s in Arlington features 50 flat screen televisions and a fully stocked bar. (The Shorthorn: Michael Rettig)

Whether you yearn for your carefree childhood days, or now realize you’re that creepy old guy playing with 10-year-olds, there’s a new destination for you.

Dave and Buster’s, the 25-year-old company calling itself “a playground for adults,” opened a new 33,000 square foot location last month in the Arlington Highlands four miles south of campus.

The menu resembles almost any other casual eatery in variety and price, with steak, salad, pasta and more — and there are bars throughout the building.

There are nearly 50 plasma HDTVs, broadcasting music videos and local and national sports.

The midway features familiar arcade games like Dance Dance Revolution, Daytona USA and Madden football, along with new ones like the Spin-N-Win, similar to the big wheel on “The Price is Right.”

Super Trivia is addictive and great for groups of friends — no need for board games or math, just spend some time at the mini-game show set.

Gamers need Power Cards to play, and you can definitely forget how many credits you’re spending when you swipe them before a game.

But Dave and Buster’s does offer half-price games on Wednesdays as a hump day temptation.

With casual dining, bars, billiards and video games, Dave and Buster’s brings another welcome attraction to Arlington.
