A “Latinos in Media” seminar will begin at 7 tonight in the University Center San Saba Room. The Delta Alpha Sigma sorority and Delta Alpha Omega fraternity will host the event. The theme is Estrellas Cruzando Fronteros, or Stars Crossing Frontiers, because stars are an important symbol in their organizations. Multicultural Affairs director Leticia Martinez said the event will educate students about group importance, the information process and focus on Hispanics in the media. Spanish professor Ignacio Ruiz Perez, La Estrella reporter Jay Torres and Adriana Lopez, “La Calle” radio show host, will speak at the event. They will discuss their experiences in the field and challenges they see for students. Views: 1468 | E-mail
