Just So You Know... David Blaine's tempting fate yet again PDF Print E-mail

The man who’s been “Buried Alive,” “Frozen in Time” and recently broke the record for holding one’s breath underwater on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” is hanging upside down from a wire high above the ice rink in New York City’s Central Park — with no net or anything to catch him when he falls.

Of course there’s another ABC special for his death-defying feat, which will air at 8 p.m.
Wednesday on channel 8.

If the possibility of seeing someone die on live television excites you, be sure to tune in. ABC’s likely to stretch it an ungodly amount of time, so 9:30 p.m. is probably an OK time to join the broadcast.

'Real World' casting call in Dallas this Saturday PDF Print E-mail

While the latest incarnation of “The Real World” is being filmed in Brooklyn and the umpteenth challenge airs weekly, MTV is always on the lookout for seven strangers willing to stop being polite for five months.

This Saturday, casting directors from Bunim/Murray Productions, the creators of the classic reality show, will be in Dallas holding an open casting call for the MTV staple’s 22nd season.

For the next season, the press release states they’re looking for people aged 18-24 with leadership experience, musical ability, Spanish speaking skills and more. Although these qualities are not required, they may give applicants an advantage.

The casting call will be at Dallas’ Ozona Grill and Bar from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For the complete press release, and one of my all-time favorite scenes from the show, read on after the jump.
