The Shorthorn: Anthony Williams I don't really mean to say groupies, but ... I don't really know how else to describe the scene after the Lupe Fiasco concert Wednesday night.
After Fiasco was reportedly whisked away immediately after the Texas Hall show, members of his band — including Fiasco's brother Mars — left through the front entrance. They came around to the north side of the auditorium where loading vans waited near backstage, and apparently told several of the girls following them they could come backstage with them.

 The Shorthorn: Anthony Williams
If Lupe Fiasco does indeed retire after releasing his third album this December, the crowd of nearly 2,000 people inside Texas Hall Wednesday night witnessed a concert even more awesome than imagined.
Many wondered what the Chicago-born rapper would bring to the university. After seeing Rihanna perform with numerous costume changes and props, what would the MC do to dazzle Mavericks this year?
Well, Fiasco used his energy and talent. Huh. How 'bout that.
I'll post more of a review/recap later, but, um, it's 2 a.m. I often have to remind myself that I'm a student and not just a journalist.
Anyway, see a picture I grabbed of the set list sitting on top of the DJ's booth after the jump, and I'll be back with more during the day Thursday.
