Whether it’s your first semester here or your fifteenth, the Mav Cookout and Activities Fair this Wednesday are not to be missed.
Save a couple of bucks and enjoy a $2 hamburger lunch — veggie burgers included — and mingle with other Mavericks from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the University Center mall.
But don’t just eat and run. Visit with students from Greek Life and other campus organizations so that, 10 years from now, you remember more than where you parked your car.

ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” returns for its sixth season with the most celebrities ever.
Most of the names seen on gossip blogs were verified Monday on “Good Morning America,” including N’Sync-er Lance Bass and reality TV star Kim Kardashian. There’s also the oldest and youngest contestants ever, 18-year-old “Hannah Montana” star Cody Linley and 82-year-old actress Cloris Leachman.
