Stand-up comedian Wanda Sykes performed at Southern Methodist University on Friday night and had the entire audience rolling — discussing gay cruises, Activia yogurt and Alaska Governor and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Sykes made it clear that she was performing at SMU, not with SMU.
"There's a difference," she said. "I can say f**k."
Sykes joked about how Palin’s in over her head, mainly coming after last week’s Katie Couric interview where “Couric looks like ‘what the f**k are you saying?’ ”
And when imagining if blacks had to come out like gays, Sykes imitated a shocked parent and said, “It’s Adam and Eve, not Adam and Mary J. Blige!”
Sykes also said she has no idea where the gay marriage storyline in her TV show “The New Adventures of Old Christine” is going — Christine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) marries her Bahamas-born character in the great state of California so that she can stay in the country.

MTV reports that Britney Spears plans on touring next year and was just as shocked as most of the country was when she won three Video Music Awards for her “Piece of Me” video.
“It’s a cool video, but I think by far I’ve done videos that are way better,” Spears said. “So I was really shocked that ... it got the award.”
Spears’ album Circus is due Dec. 2, and as far as its first single “Womanizer” is concerned (hear it above), Split Ends has yet to make up its mind about it. It's got a twitchy little '80s beat that's catchy, but we're not rushing to make it our ringtone or anything.
Unfortunately, we are afraid we don’t like the leaked theme song for the new James Bond film Quantum of Solace.
Recorded by Jack White and Alicia Keys, “Another Way to Die” goes for a rock-R&B duet sound but we can’t get on board the train just yet.
